Our roots

The writer Samuel Johnson once said these famous words: « (...) Great works spring up not from force, but from perseverance. » This well-known quotation actually reflects the evolution of RDTS which was founded in 1994 with at first only three employees. This figure does not take long to evolve, since in 1996, RDTS expands its range of merchandising service to the entire province of Quebec. From 1999 to 2000, RDTS creates a partnership with three associates in western Canada. This strategic partnership allows RDTS to support its growing clientele of hypermarkets. In 2001, RDTS signs seven major contracts for nationwide merchandising services for customers like Henkel, GSW, Cascades, and many more. Over the following years, the company’s revenues double, going from 537 000 to 1.5 million dollars; the personnel also follows the trend and doubles. From 2006 to 2008, RDTS continues to grow. Business development adds to other customers. At the end of 2008, RDTS signs an exclusive contract with RONA for a three year period. On November 16th 2009, RDTS becomes ISO and announces it publically at its annual cocktail. Shortly after, RDTS reveals its motto :  « Our roots are solid, but our commitment is even more solid! » In 2011, RDTS acquires a new building and the headquarters move to Laval.

Today, with fifteen years experience and existence, RDTS wants to pursue its strategic and exclusive positioning with banners its serves, in order to help boost sales by merchandising services adapted to their needs. However, all these achievements have not been created without obstacles and certainly not without a solid foundation. This is also for the sake of establishing a structure to the company that the founder of RDTS, who is also the president, will develop the entrepreneurial philosophy of the company based on the famous matrix which is defined in four elements: planning, execution, communication and ethics. Rapidly, the matrix is redefining how the president manages the company. In the years following the creation of RDTS, the president gives himself the mandate to transmit his values and discipline to all team members. This is also from this principle that RDTS is able to offer an efficient merchandising service from coast to coast.
